Oh Iscoyd; you stole our hearts, and you’ll have them forever. Set in private 18th century parkland in the heart of Whitchurch, Iscoyd Park is a Georgian manor house with soul. From the second we stepped foot through the door, we felt at home; wowed by the splendour, but totally at ease in the comfort of this regal dwelling (where the Godsal family still live – adorable kids and all).
For me, there was never any question as to who our wedding photographer would be. I’d fallen in love with Amy’s style from the moment I laid eyes on her work – and luckily, Mr Me & Thee was equally sold. Her images are free from stuffy traditions – none of your overly posed malarkey. There’s an almost magical, ethereal quality to her images, and nothing could be more ‘us’.
Papertwin Weddings were recommended to us by Amy Faith, our photographer. We LOVE her style so totally trusted the recommendation…and we were so impressed by the examples on their site. Based in Liverpool, Papertwin describe themselves as a close-knit team who are passionate about creating keepsakes to last their couples a lifetime. We can’t wait to see what they create!
Choosing a MUA was a huge decision for me. My makeup is a big part of my image, so it had to be perfect. I researched makeup artists for weeks, and after reading countless reviews, it had to be Rebecca Frances. With tonnes of accolades to her name – and a portfolio to die for – I knew I’d be in safe hands. As soon as Rebecca emailed me, my nerves were gone; she’s the real deal.
I am SUPER fussy with my hair, so this was probably the hardest supplier decision I had to make. Natalie B (founder of Bridal Hair Specialists) was recommended to me by my MUA, who’d worked with her tonnes of times. It was more than I’d originally planned on paying, but Paul knew how important my hair was to me and took the ‘you get what you pay for, go for it, approach’…RESULT!
Paul used to be a professional musician – travelling the globe, doing his thang – so music is a BIG deal to him. This made choosing our band a tad tricky. We didn’t want anything cheesy or naff – or anything that would overpower our venue. Our wedding coordinator recommended The Modern Way, and as soon as we watched their promo vid, that was it. They seriously rock!!
